John Easterling is a senior architect with nearly 30 years of experience working with educational, cultural and public clients on the design of schools, libraries, theaters, park facilities and a variety of other types of structures.  John joined GWWO in early 2005 after working for 10 years with a Charlottesville, Virginia architectural firm.

He became a member of the GWWO management team in 2005 and has since built his portfolio to include projects such as the new LEED Silver Certified Killens Pond State Park Nature Center, new DuPont Environmental Education Center, the renovation and expansion of Belle Grove Elementary School, the new Severna Park High School which is anticipated to achieve Silver LEED for Schools Certification, and numerous projects for Prince George’s County Government. 

John currently chairs the GWWO Sustainability Committee and is the leader of GWWO’s initiatives related to the AIA 2030 Commitment, and is also a member of the Baltimore Chapter of the AIA.  He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Clemson University, a Masters of Science in Advanced Architectural Studies from University College London, and a Masters of Architecture from Rice University.
